Tuomas Kivinen is an architect, partner, and CEO of Kivinen Rusanen Architects. He started working in our office as an architecture student in 2000, became a minority partner in 2012, and has been one of the two owners since 2021. He has an MSc (Arch) degree from Aalto University in Finland.

Tuomas is the lead architect in the firm's exceptionally demanding projects. Throughout his career, he has worked on process-driven infrastructure.

As the lead architect, Tuomas will help ensure all design disciplines are on the client's side and committed to the project's shared objectives. The projects he manages have won several awards, a testament to the successful collaboration of the firm's skilled teams with clients and other stakeholders.

Tuomas spoke at the Aalto Symposium 15 - Future of Industry 2021 and has given guest lectures at the Tampere School of Architecture.

Nina Rusanen is an architect and partner in Kivinen Rusanen Arkkitehdit Oy. She started as an intern in our office in 2003, became a minority partner in 2012 and has been one of the two owners since 2021.

Nina has more than 15 years of experience in industrial architecture. She has worked on many projects as lead architect and principal designer. Nina studied architecture in Germany and Portugal and graduated from BTU Cottbus University of Technology in Germany in 2006 with an MSc Arch.

Nina's professional focus is on how industrial production and infrastructure increasingly intersect living and working spaces in our ever-denser cities.

In addition to challenging and complex new build projects, Nina leads significant renovation projects for our office.
